LARGE AND SMALL FORMAT

(2 prints due) Design a postage stamp based on your self-portrait. Print one version at postage stamp size. Create another version which you will print at poster size (roughly 24"x36"). Warning - if you would like to print larger than poster size, do not print larger than 36in. wide x 54in. long.

Another option - print at hi-res and TILE your image. This means print sections of your file on separate smaller pages.

Printing large format images to the VCC

Choose File/Print Options/Page Setup/

Use the pull-down menu under Name to select the HP Deskjet 755 (Plotter)

Use the pull-down menu under Paper Size to select the appropriate paper size. Leave room on the paper printout for at least a 2 inch margin. I have been told it's best not to print wider than 30 inches and longer than 54 inches. Also, this printer can only go up to 300 dpi in its output resolution.

Another option - instead of changing your print size, print scaled higher. For example, under Print Options, you can print a 5in x 7in. image scaled 600%.
